19th Century Twin Pillar Dining Table of "D" end outline with reeded
edge decoration. The top is a lovely warm original colour, the twin pillars with
attractive turned stems. the whole supported on outswept legs finished off with
cast brass lion paw castors. Seating 8 comfortably with plenty of leg room (these
style of dining tables do not have the same frieze as Victorian Tables do) it

featuring a figured burr walnut veneered top with beautiful marquetry inlay. The
swivel lid lifts to reveal chess and backgammon boards and below lies a shallow
recess for counters, beneath this is another marquetry faced drawer lined in a
red velvet with 5 sections for needle work accoutrements, and below this a sarcophygus
shaped sliding needlework well, faced in marquetry. The whole is raised on a beautifully

A stunning Edwardian walnut dining
table on substantial reeded legs with canted corners and brass casters (a later
addition). This table extends by use of a handle to take two extra leafs and when
fully extended seats 10/12 comfortably. Having been recently overhauled in our
workshops the winding mechanism runs smoothly and the leg joints have all been
checked. Finally, the top has been professionally French polished using traditional
