Victorian Gilt Centre Table with marble inset

Circa mid 19th Century this stunning and highly unusual decorative table comprises of 4 outswept legs with large scrolling accanthus leaf decoration in relief leading into a 4 splay platform with turned and fluted pillasters above. The platform having beautifully detailed relief edging and further scrolling accanthus leaf protrusions. The pillasters rise to support a circular top each pillaster featuring superb accanthus leaf capitals. The top itself featuring a white marble inset.This high quality piece is truly stunning and is further enhanced by a charming seated cherub measuring some 10" tall contained between the pillasters.

Beautiful rare table, not to be missed, would make a fantastic centre piece to a hall, landing or as a side table in a drawing room.
