Features original brass furniture to drawers, which are all banded in satinwood. The fall has a classical (ancient Greek/Roman) urn inlaid to the centre which opens to reveal a fitted interior consisting of satinwood veneered drawers and pigeon holes. The whole raised on bracket feet.

A particularly lovely example of a Pier Cabinet, having very well defined burr walnut figured veneer. This piece also has canted corners each surmounted with beautiful gilded foliated mounts, whilst above the door and to the corners are bery fine marquetery inlays. Both the shaped plynth and sides to theis cabinet have boxwood stringing. Inside are two walnut faced shelves. The interior feauters its original plum velvet (now faintly faded but in very good order.)
The glass is original and is contained with gilded brass rope twist design beading.
A beautiful piece.
