Elegant Vintage Brass Desk Lamp circa 1920

Designed at the beginning of the 20th Century this brass lamp has all the elegance of its period. The lamp has a cast brass base with cast brass decoration of acanthus leaves and berries and a cast iron slug built under the brass to give it stability at any angle.
The tilting mechanism is a ball joint secured with a screw collar, which enables the arm to be tilted either sideways or backwards and forwards and the shade can also be rotated to throw the light where it is needed on the desk.

This stunning example stands at 10" in the up-right and weighs a substantial 5.5 lbs...
