Regency mahogany Card/Tea Table

Dating to the first quarter of the 19th Century this lovely Regency Tea table is a beautiful rich colour and a very attractive example with rounded corners, the top opens to reveal a mahogany veneered surface making this a useful table when open as well as a beautiful decorative piece when closed. This particular table has double hinged legs at the back which open to support the fold over top, this is indicative of the quality of this particular type of table. Again this becomes apparent when you look at the frieze at the front of the table, one finds a deep drawer with lovely brass drop handles, again something only usually found on better examples. The edges adorned with shallow carved bead decoration typical of the Regency Period. The whole raised on finely reeded turned legs and brass casters.

A beautiful example of a Regency Card/Tea Table in lovely original condition and a fabulous rich colour.
