Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Bookcase in the 18th Century style

Circa 1900 a beautiful Edwardian inlaid mahogany bookcase of fine quality. This lovely example is a deep rich colour banded with satinwood to the whole body. Standing on short tapering spade feet it comprises of a 2 door cupboard section with shelf within, above are 2 frieze drawers each with beautiful oval brass drop handles. Above is a 2 door astragal glazed bookcase section wth 3 fully height adjustable shelves. The original glass held within fine astragal glazing and central brass door covering strip. The whole surmounted by a dental cornice and swan neck pediment with lotus leaf rosettes. Very original and imposing.
