Circa 1840, a superbly figured burr walnut secretaire chest of drawers, comprising of 4 full width drawers, the top drawer with secretaire compartment behind: drawer front folds down to reveal ebonised writing desk area with pigeon hole area flanked by 2 figured walnut veneered drawers. The top and sides of this piece are all bookpaged figured walnut of particularly good grain making this a stunning piece from which ever angle it is viewed from. Features oval brass drop handles, the whole raised on small bun feet.
