19th Century Bowfronted Mahogany Inlaid Chest of Drawers A really lovely example of 19th Century craftsmanship! Raised on bracket feet which are splayed at the front, this chest has 5 drawers each with fine mahogany cockbeading to the drawer edges. Each drawer is further banded in satinwood with ebony stringing. The solid brass drop handles are circular in shape and provide a generous handhold. All the drawers run very smoothly! Finally, the top made from one broad single piece of highly figured mahogany is cross banded in satinwood to compliment the drawer fronts. Satinwood provides a gorgeous colour contrast to the main chest and is one of the more desireable of the exotic woods. Beautiful condition and ready to use and enjoy.
