A Regency Rosewood Sarcophagus Caddy with mother of pearl inlay

In wonderful condition this attractive rosewood Regency Sarcophagus Tea Caddy stands on small bun feet. The highly decorative case has fine mother of pearl inlay depicting flowers and leafs with a mother of pearl escutcheon. The lid opens to reveal 2 compartments with rosewood lids and bone handles which lift to reveal a lined interior originally for storing tea. The lid itself is lined with green velvet and the whole is provided with working lock and key.
