Stunning Victorian glass crystal Purse Chandelier

A fabulous example of a Victorian purse/bag chandelier with brass rim with decorative ribbon swag detail from which icicle drops hang. The purse is constructed from strands of different sized glass beads (original and period ) hung from the reeded brass frame all held in place by a beautiful brass foliate fitting from which a faceted glass ball hangs. The elegant glass beads forming the slender neck of this wonderful light are so elegant and very classical in style and shape. The chandelier has its own original brass rose and is larger than most chandeliers of this style having 3 bulbs. The amount of glass on this wonderful chandelier ensure that the bulbs are almost hidden and just produce the most wonderful opulent feel. This is a Victorian example and not a 1930s copy and is a must for any period home.
