Striking Early Victorian flame mahogany combination wardrobe

A truely magnificent example of an Early Victorian combination wardrobe dating to 1850. The whole is in wonderful original condition with gorgeous blue and cream original lining all in excellent condition. The wardrobe itself comprises of 5 sections, the central section featuring 3 large drawers each ash lined and furnished with gilded cast foliate drop handles and each drawer is finished with highly figured/polished mahogany fronts to match the exterior. Above these are 2 linen press trays, again ash lined with gorgeous mahogany fronts, above again is a large open cupboard section lined in the original material featuring original brass and white ceramic tipped pegs (originally used for hats). Flanking this middle section are 2 full length hanging compartments slightly deeper and wider than usually found with brass poles and again the original blue and cream lining cloth and extra brass hooks for belts and ties. These 3 sections are enclosed by 4 beautifully figured doors with feature corbelles, raised panels and foliate decorative carvings and the whole surmounted by an ornate pediment which looks very grand!
