Beautiful Early Victorian mahogany combination wardrobe

A fantastic example of an Early Victorian mahogany combination wardrobe. A lovely mellow colour and in excellent original condition this wardrobes divides into 6 sections for ease of transport. The central section consisting of 2 plus 2 drawers with wooden knob handles above which sits a 2 door cupboard with highly figured mahogany flame veneered doors. The cupboard consists of 3 sliding linen trays with a shelf above which is a most useful combination for storing linen and bedding. This is flanked by 2 panelled doors which open to reveal full length hanging space with a shoe box below. The whole sits on a breakfront plinth and is surmounted by a breakfront cornice.

All drawers and trays run smoothly, the locks on the doors are fully working and the wardrobe sits together nicely and ensures that the doors open properly without binding. The wardrobe itself has been thoroughly checked in our workshop by skilled craftsmen and can be lined in a cream calico included in the price if required.

A beautiful example of Early 19th Century craftmanship at its best.
