Fabulous Large decorative 1930 birds eye maple and gilt Venetian King size bed

This absolutely stunning birds eye maple Italian Venetian King size bed bed will take a 6" matress. Large in proportions and stunning in detail the headboard is surmounted with wonderful acanthus detail picked out in beautiful gilt decoration. The bowed footboard having rounded edges and attractive cabriole legs all with beautiful gilt decoration. The wonderful rich honey colour is partly due to the birds eye maple and partly to the passing of time which has allowed this to mellow beautifully. This bed is truly stunning and certainly one of a kind. The bed rails are also in birds eye maple and have gilt decoration to their edges, this bed is easy to assemble and very sturdy. We have had new slats made and these are included in the price all you need to do is add the matress.

We are fortunate to be able to offer you a wonderful pair of matching bedside cabinets also that work perfectly with this bed making it a fantastic set. The Italian bedside cabinets date to 1930 and are birds eye maple with gilt decoration. They stand on cabriole gilded legs and open to reveal a shelved area with the added benefit of internal drawer. Having beautiful gilded and shaped upstands these are certainly something special and complement the bed beautifully.
