| This is a stunning example of
a Late Regency Period Antique Mahogany Scroll End Sofa, and is in superb condition.
Typical of its period the back is influenced by the sea, with the carvings on
the back depicting rolling waves accented with anethemon leaves. The front again
has truly gorgeous show wood following the outline of the sofa, scrolling over
to either end with reeded detailing. The whole is raised on attractive "sabre"
legs with brass lion paw castors to the front with turned supports/castors to
the rear. A timeless classic! This antique sofa will be put through our workshop
and all joints will be checked and clamped as necessary then the entire frame
will be traditionally French polished using traditional methods and then reupholstered
firstly in calico and then in a top cover which complements the show wood of this
beautiful item...If you would like to purchase this item prior to upholstery then
