Rosewood
Work Box Circa 1838
A W1V Rosewood work box, this stunning item in highly
figured rosewood veneer comprising a single deep drawer (which has the appearance
of 2 single drawers) and a dummy version to the other side. To either side are
drop flaps which lift to extend the tables size. Below is a pull out drop well
sewing box, finished in pleated cream silk. The base is of quadrofoil outline,
again veneered in highly decorative figured rosewood, supports a stepped turned
stem and the whole is raised on slim turned feet and casters.
Certainly
a beautiful item!
The box to be covered in a pleated cream silk..
